New addition to Tidelines Team

We are delighted that Teresa Talbot will be joining the Tidelines board. You may remember that she appeared as part of the 2015 Festival  with BBC weather presenter, Judith Ralston. Her debut novel is This is What I Look Like.

Theresa Talbot

“Theresa Talbot is a freelance writer, journalist and radio presenter, perhaps best known as the voice of Traffic and Travel on BBC Radio Scotland and as the host of The Beechgrove Potting Shed. Prior to working with the BBC she was with Radio Clyde and the AA Roadwatch team. Theresa worked in various roles before entering the media as an assistant in children’s homes, a Pepsi Challenge girl and a library assistant. She ended up at the BBC because of an eavesdropped conversation on a no.66 bus in Glasgow. Her passions include rescuing chickens, gardening, music and yoga.”  (Amazon books)

Michael J. Malone joins Tidelines group

Michael J Malone

The Board members of Tidelines are delighted that we will be joined this year by Michael J Malone. Michael is an award-winning poet and author, born and brought up in Ayr. His latest book A Suitable Lie will be published in September. Michael brings a wealth of experience of the Scottish book scene and a knowledge of book festivals which will be a valuable asset to our small but enthusiastic group of volunteers.

At the same tine, we are sorry to lose a valued member of the Board. John Steele, who was a founder member of Tidelines in 2013, has announced his retiral from the group. John with his wife Noreen has written several books about HMS Dasher, as well as other non-fiction works, and is well known in the local area for his passion for the written word. We hope to see John at some of our events in September.
