How to get there

Going to Irvine:

By train: There are frequent services between Irvine and Glasgow and Irvine and Ayr and connections at Kilwinning to Ardrossan and Largs. Passengers from Inverclyde can change at Paisley Gilmour Street. Journeys from Glasgow take approximately 35 – 40 minutes.

By road: The A78 follows the coast north / south and provides excellent access, much of it dual carriageway. There is a Sustrans cycle route (7) that follows the largely follows the A78 and another from Kilwinning to Paisley (73) that follows the A737. If travelling from Glasgow, the main routes are M77 to Kilmarnock and then A71 to Irvine or west on the M8 and take A737 to Kilwinning, thereafter Irvine is well signposted.
